Chicken & Dumplings

If any of you love chicken and dumplings as much as I do you will LOVE this really easy recipe.
Just dust off your crock pot and you are ready to go!

Chicken & Dumplings
3-4 frozen chicken breasts
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 onion
1-2 tbsp of butter
2 c. chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp flour (optional)
1 can of biscuits

You need to start this about 7 hours before you are wanting to eat.
Throw chicken, soup, onion, butter, broth, salt, and pepper all into a crock pot. You can use as much chicken as you would like depending on how much you want to cook. Same goes for the onion. The recipe calls for a whole onion, but I found that a little overwhelming, so I use only 1/2 and slice it really thin. Butter varies for how much butter you like in your food. I also like to add a little more chicken broth, so this is also up to you! This recipe tends to yield a thinner broth, which I like, but not everyone does. If you are like me, leave out the flour! If not, add the flour, and it will thicken right up.

Let the mixture cook on low for about 5.5 hours.

Once it has been 5.5 hours, turn up the heat on the crock pot, break each biscuit into 3rds, and toss them in!

Let biscuits cook for about 1.5 hours longer..

And enjoy!
